Guerilla Frugality

December 25th, 2004 at 06:27 pm

Today starts the next year of guerilla frugality. There are so many things we need to do and the only way to accomplish it is to get right down to it.

We are aiming for 20 no spend days monthly. Prefer a little more, but will be happy with that amount. I will use this journal to keep our progress updated.

Will start thinking of ideas to get our guerilla frugality in high gear. Tracking all spending, also keeping a silver change jar and a pennies challenge jar.

The month of January (actually starting 12/28 payday) I will work on our grocery spending for this month. I want to learn to cook new things that are healthy but also frugal. Scratch cooking, learning to make convenience foods and so on.

Wish us luck!! Smile

20 no spend days. Wow I try for 4 one a week and often don't make it. How do you do 20. Do you work outside the house. That is my downfall. I find myself spending money if I leave the house.

No I am a sahm of 7 children. I take the 2 youngest to school, and then come home most of the time. I worked a few months back and would just bring lunch and soda with me, that way I wouldn't want to spend $.
